The last nine years have been quite the experience. The news biz has taken me to Nebraska, Arizona, Florida and Tennessee.
I have stories that could entertain you for hours. I could tell you about my extremely mortifying mistakes on live TV, the gruesome crime scenes, the wildfires, the tornadoes, or my favorite story inside a maximum security prison.
I even got to play a "reporter" on the ABC show Nashville. I lucked out because the show wanted "real" reporters and I worked for the ABC affiliate in Nashville!
It was an amazing experience, and I got to tell incredible stories, but now I’m pursuing another dream: owning my own business while having more time to stay home with my son.
As a nursing mom, I wanted to see better options for nursing clothes - especially cute, flowy styles that you could toss in the washer and dryer.
I thought it would be easy. I thought I would find some fabric, hire a pattern maker, and start production! Well, that process lasted nearly two years!
It's been a long road, but it's been so fun! I've loved learning about something completely different, but my favorite part has been meeting other moms.
It's an absolute HONOR to support breastfeeding moms. Breastfeeding is amazing, but it's also hard! So, if somehow this makes someone's life easier, or makes one mom feel better about herself - that would be more gratifying than anything else I've done!
Here's a look back to my years in news:
I don't miss these freezing live shots!
Anchoring in Nashville. Pit Boss from Animal Planet was one of our guests.
Interviewing Erin Brockovich for a story about water pollution in Orlando.
I still freelance in Tampa from time to time, and Grant likes to watch. ;)
One of the episodes from Nashville!
Many of us will be traveling for the holidays, which reminds me how easy it used to be when my son was a baby and I was breastfeeding.
All of our designs are meant to be roomy in the right areas. Not baggy and not tight. Don't size up! If you're between sizes, size down.
Hoodies: The hoodie designs fit true to size with a roomy fit (see photos below). Usually the dress size (4/6, 8/10 etc.) is the best measurement to follow. If you order your pre-pregnancy size, the hoodies should fit great!
Tanks: Our clip-down tanks are form fitting but not skin tight. If you are a size DD or smaller, order your regular size. If you're larger than a DD, consider both your band size and your current size top. If you have a bra band of 40 (which is a size large), but you typically wear a size XL, size down to a large. We give extra room in the bust for larger chests.
For plus sizes, we follow a standard U.S. plus chart as well. We have learned that someone who considers themselves a XXL (in misses) is not a 2X (plus). The best way for you to determine your size is to measure your band size (right under your chest), the smallest part of your waist, and your hips and follow the chart.
If you have any further questions regarding size, don’t hesitate to contact us at, firstname.lastname@example.org! :)
The model below is a true XS (size 2 and 32C). Notice how much room she has in the hips. You can also see the difference between the two sizes. The small is much baggier.
