Postpartum dressing has honestly been one of the hardest parts of motherhood for me as a 1st time mama. After months of ordering clothes that were either too tight, awkwardly oversized, or just completely unflattering, I started dreading getting dressed. I kept seeing Nursing Queen on Instagram for weeks but was scared to waste money on another disappointment.
I finally took a chance on this dress for church, and I am so thankful I did.
For the first time in a long time, I felt comfortable, confident, and beautiful in my postpartum body. I received so many compliments, and nursing my 3-month-old was quick and effortless. The zipper glides so smoothly, the material feels high quality (not cheap or flimsy), and the dress is lightweight, breathable, and not see-through.
What I love most is how flattering it is without clinging in the wrong places. It’s loose where you want it to be and truly helps hide the postpartum bumps and lumps while still making you feel feminine and put together. You can easily dress it up or down.
The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because, personally for my body shape, I didn’t love how the bow looked tied in the front. I wish it could more confidently be styled tied in the front or back depending on preference. I also wish the V-neck was just slightly higher to minimize cleavage a bit more. Small details, but worth mentioning.
Overall, if you’re a postpartum mama struggling to feel good in clothes again, this is your sign.
For reference: I’m 5’2”, 168 lbs, and a 36C.
I wish I would have gotten a size down, otherwise I love the dress, also long on me, but I'm only 5'1", fabric is lovely.
The fit is larger than expected so i would recommend sizing down. It’s a beautiful dress but I noticed some strings were hanging after 1 wear so I’m slightly concerned with how long it will last. The material is very lightweight so it makes for a great summer dress.
The dress was very comfortable and flowy, which is exactly what I wanted! I got one for my twin sister and we both love them!
I got this dress almost 2 years ago now, and it’s still going strong! I was surprised to find I liked the fit of the size small the best, considering I never go for a small anymore (I’m 5’5 and was probably around 155lb when the picture was taken 3 months postpartum). Super pretty and I always love wearing it, regardless of whether I plan to breastfeed. The polyester wasn’t the most fun thing to wear in the Texan heat, but on the plus side it barely wrinkles which made me not regret packing it for the trip. I’m hoping it’ll last in my closet for years to come!
I purchased this dress for a friend’s wedding last year. The zipper on the initial dress was broken and they immediately corrected the issue. We recently took maternity photos with our second baby at almost 39 weeks pregnant. The photographer wanted us to wear neutrals and I was feeling discouraged at the maternity dress options available online. I was shocked to see that this dress in my closet fit my very large baby bump perfectly (baby was born 7 days later at almost 10 lbs and nearly 23 inches) so comfortably! I was so happy to be able to use the dress I already loved!
Amazing quality and very comfortable! I love the style and ease of breastfeeding in this dress! My favorite dress I own.
I am so impressed with the quality of this dress! It’s so comfortable to wear and the tie waist straps make it so flattering as your body changes postpartum. I chose the Nursing Queens zipper nursing dresses over other stretchy nursing dress brands because I wanted it to last the test of time. I think this one will! Thanks Nursing Queen for making such a functional and flattering nursing dress!
