Moms rate their favorite breastfeeding styles for summer

https://youtube.com/shorts/FQVniAsLQQA?feature=sharedSummertime means playdates in the park, picnic lunches, trips to the pool or beach and just trying to stay cool while running errands or heading to the office. But it also means nursing or pumping wherever your summer plans take you.

We wanted to know which styles moms love for breastfeeding on the go. So here's what moms have to say about their favorites nursing styles (in their own words).

Best shirt for summer: 3 block nursing tees

These 3-block tees are a go-to for moms in the summer. This shirt has a loose design and fits true to size. The nursing access is hidden zipper along the first color block line. There's one long zipper with pulls on both sides. With the weather heating up, covers and double-layers are really not a great option. So the zipper access for breastfeeding is key.

“Love this shirt! So comfortable and doesn’t even look like a nursing shirt! Very easy to nurse discreetly, quickly, and on the go. It fits our lifestyle perfectly,” said mom Julianna.

“Love this shirt, comfortable, flattering, cute! Wore it to a music festival and was able to easily nurse while waiting in line for a food truck or walking through crowds of thousands. I didn’t worry about every bit hanging out for the crowds to see,” said Kait.

Best shirt for summer travel: Chevron nursing tee

This cotton fabric chevron nursing tee is light-weight and soft! The t-shirt has two slant zippers that are hidden along the color block lines. Many moms say this shirt works great for nursing and pumping on flights and they love the fabric.

"The material is thin and light, great for warm weather. Zipper access allows us to nurse without exposing anything, or even look like we’re breastfeeding. Cute enough to wear when we’re done nursing too! Any pumping/nursing Mom would appreciate a shirt like this," said mom Melissa.

Best top for outdoor activities and working out: Nursing tank-top

If you're taking on the trails or going for a run this workout nursing top if a must. It's a fast-drying, moisture-wicking fabric that does not cling. The lift-up flap reveals a criss-cross layer to easily pull aside for breastfeeding.

Best summer dresses: Periwinkle nursing dress and Floral Bell nursing dress

First up this cotton blend nursing dress. It's super flattering for a postpartum tummy because it flows away from the body!

“Comfortable and functional dress! Great for spring and summer,” said Ann.

We also adore this floral print option. Jennifer said “I love this dress and all nursing queen's clothing. I feel beautiful and have the freedom to nurse discreetly anywhere. This dress is light enough to wear in Florida summer and can be dressed up or down. The waist is a little loose fitting (which can be really forgiving), so it pairs great with a belt If you want a cinched in look. I'm wearing an extra small.”

Best top for work in the summer: Peplum nursing blouse

Here's a go-to for moms heading back to the office!

"The peplum helped hide my belly but still gave me curves and the pump access is so convenient and hidden. You would never know the zippers were there. Great shirt," said  Lauren.

Best swimsuit for the beach or pool: The nursing tankini

Here's a great option for moms nursing or pumping at the beach or pool this summer - a nursing tankini!

Mom Alison said, "This swim suit is great! It was so nice to have a swimsuit I could nurse in this summer!! This suit has a nice amount of support (and this is coming from a large chested nursing mama) and is very flattering for the post baby body!!"

You can mix and match your own swim bottoms with this tankini top. We love that the nursing access allows you to keep your tummy covered. There are three layers: The outer cropped layer, a privacy panel and a criss-cross layer to easily pull aside.

We also love this nursing lounge dress. It's perfect for running errands, hanging at the house and it also make a great coverup for the beach or pool! Did we mention it has pockets?!
