All of our nursing clothing is designed with one of the following for easy breastfeeding access:
- Hidden zippers are placed along the bust or seams so you can unzip just enough to nurse or pump comfortably.
- Lift-up flap access reveals an opening underneath the top layer, so you have more coverage while nursing or pumping.
- Side-seam and front-panel openings are built into the side or front of the garment, providing quick access without changing the piece’s silhouette.
Sizing & Fit
We recommend checking our Sizing & Fit Guide and taking our sizing quiz for the most accurate fit. Each product also includes notes on how it runs (true to size, relaxed fit). And don’t worry—our free exchange policy makes it easy to find your best fit.
Fabric Care Instructions
All items should be washed in cold water and with like colors. So, lighter colors with other lighter laundry and dark colors with dark. However, if it's an item with dark and light together, we recommend washing with similar colored loads and wash inside out.
- Choose a mild, fragrance‑free (or low fragrance) detergent, especially if you have sensitive skin postpartum or while nursing.
- Use the delicate or gentle wash cycle. That reduces agitation, which can wear out fabrics, stretch panels, or damage zippers.
- Some moms use mesh laundry bags when washing their clothing. If the piece has small parts, trims, or delicate features (like hidden zips or flaps), put them in a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging.
Many of our items are cotton knits and shrink about 1" in a hot dryer. We make everything a little extra roomy to accommodate for that though. However, if you feel the fit is perfect out of the bag... to prevent shrinking, we always recommend hanging to dry. You can machine wash everything but for items like sweaters and dresses, we recommend washing on delicate and hanging to dry.
Breastmilk is considered a protein stain (with fats/oils) which means it needs to be treated a little differently. Some stains just need a little drop of Dawn dish soap and a little rubbing then launder as usual. Other stains need a little more treatment. We love Bac-Out (which is an enzyme cleaner) for protein stains. We have been able to get just about every stain out with it!
